Step 4: "Stop" and "Refresh" |
|
|
 |
 |
The "Stop" button stops the rest of a page from loading. Think of it as a bit
like a brake in a car - use it when you're loading a page but find you've come across a
jam - either a traffic jam on the Internet, or you realise it's the wrong page, or there's
some enormous graphic that will ages to download.
The "Refresh" button (also called "Reload" on some browsers) is handy
if you've had to stop loading the page for some reason, and now want to reload it in its
entirety. Or it is useful if you want to load the very latest version of a changing page.
For example, the page might be one that's updated once a minute (e.g. it has a live
picture from a Web camera, or the latest share price results). You can load the very
latest version by hitting "Refresh".
